Engineering Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the South East
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced engineer ready to pass on your technical knowledge to the next generation?
About the Role
As an Engineering Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across engineering programmes for an education provider in the South East. You'll plan, prepare and assess learning that supports every student to progress and achieve.
This is a role for someone who combines sound technical knowledge with the ability to bring real industry experience into the classroom and the workshop. You'll work alongside a supportive teaching team and help students build the practical skills and confidence that employers are looking for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and high-quality teaching across engineering courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support student progression and achievement.
- Supporting students to develop practical workshop skills alongside their technical knowledge.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant engineering qualification or substantial industry experience
- Strong practical and technical knowledge of engineering
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess learning for a range of abilities
- Commitment to supporting students to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or instructing learners
