Electrical Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Start date: 30 September 2026
Are you a time-served electrician ready to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a training provider to deliver Electrical Installation teaching across both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory, helping learners build genuine occupational competence.
You'll plan and assess learning, track progress and support learners through to successful completion, bringing your own industry experience into everything you teach.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across Electrical Installation programmes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out regular progress reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation
- Substantial industry experience as an electrician
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- 18th Edition BS 7671
