Job Description
Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary
Start date: November 2026
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as an Electrical Installation Lecturer, delivering practical and theoretical sessions to learners and apprentices working towards their qualifications.
You'll teach in both workshop and classroom settings, helping learners build the technical skills, underpinning knowledge and confidence they need to succeed in industry. You'll assess progress, give clear feedback and create a safe, inclusive environment where learners can do their best work.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering high-quality practical electrical installation training.
- Teaching the theoretical knowledge that underpins electrical practice.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities that support progression and achievement.
- Supporting learners and apprentices to achieve their qualifications.
- Contributing to curriculum development so content reflects current industry standards.
- Working with colleagues and employers to support strong learner outcomes.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in electrical installation
- Substantial hands-on industry experience as an electrician
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or mentoring
If you don't have teaching experience, that's not a barrier — you'll be supported to develop your practice while you deliver.
Pass On Your Trade
If you're ready to use your experience on the tools to shape the next generation of electricians, we'd love to hear from you.
What's on Offer
- Support to develop teaching practice
- Support to work towards teaching qualification
