About the role

You'll plan, deliver and assess engaging plumbing programmes for a further education provider, combining practical workshop sessions with the underpinning theory learners need to succeed. Working across a range of levels, you'll bring your industry experience into the workshop and classroom, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence that employers value.

You'll create a safe and supportive learning environment, monitor learner progress and adapt your teaching to meet the needs of a diverse group of learners.

If you come from industry rather than teaching, that's welcome. Our client offers support to help you move into education and develop as a lecturer.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning, delivering and assessing plumbing programmes across a range of levels.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
• Monitoring learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
• Maintaining a safe, positive and inclusive classroom and workshop environment.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 plumbing qualification or equivalent industry-recognised qualification
• Current or recent industry experience within plumbing
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to motivate and engage learners

Desirable (but not essential):

• Teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Assessor qualification
• Previous experience of teaching, training or assessing groups
