Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 19 October 2026
Are you a qualified electrician or experienced lecturer looking to inspire the next generation of electricians?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West as an Electrical Installation Lecturer, delivering practical workshop sessions and supporting theory to learners working towards vocational qualifications in the trade.
You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, teaching to current standards and supporting each learner to build the technical skills, confidence and employability that employers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across electrical installation courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Supporting learners in developing their technical skills and employability prospects.
- Maintaining a safe, well-organised workshop that reflects industry practice.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in electrical installation
- Extensive industry experience in the electrical trade
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
Desirable (but not essential):
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or mentoring in a further education setting
