Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass on your trade skills to the next generation?
About the Role
As an Electrical Installation Lecturer, you'll deliver engaging practical and theory-based teaching that helps learners build the technical skills and underpinning knowledge they need to progress into the electrical industry.
Working with a further education provider in the North West, you'll plan and prepare lessons that combine hands-on workshop practice with classroom theory, assess learner progress and adapt your approach to suit learners at different levels and stages of their training.
If you come from industry rather than a teaching background, that's welcome here. You'll be supported to develop your classroom practice through mentoring and ongoing professional development.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering practical and theory-based lessons in electrical installation.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive feedback.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the needs of learners at different levels.
- Maintaining a safe, professional and industry-standard workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience teaching or assessing within further education
