Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Are you a time-served electrician ready to bring your industry expertise into the classroom and shape the next generation of skilled tradespeople?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to deliver practical and theoretical Electrical Installation training, guiding learners through their technical skills and towards full occupational competence.
You'll teach across workshop and classroom settings, assess progress and play an active part in developing a curriculum that reflects current industry standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across practical skills and theory in Electrical Installation.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out regular progress reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body compliance.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content aligns with current industry standards.
- Supporting learners in building their technical skills and employability prospects.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- Substantial industry experience as an electrician
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- 18th Edition BS 7671
- Assessor or IQA award
- Previous experience teaching in further education
