Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you a time-served electrician looking to pass on your trade to the next generation of electricians?
About the role
Our client, a further education provider in the West Midlands, is seeking an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory, bringing your industry knowledge into the learning environment and helping learners build the technical skills and confidence they need.
You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learners' work and support them towards achieving their qualifications as part of a wider curriculum team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical and theory sessions in electrical installation.
- Planning and preparing lessons that meet learners' needs and course requirements.
- Assessing learners' work and monitoring their progress towards their qualifications.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Supporting learners to develop their technical skills and employability.
What we're looking for
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
- A teaching qualification
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience of teaching in further education
- An assessor qualification
