Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 29 September 2026
Are you a qualified electrician looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver theory and practical workshop sessions to learners working towards their electrical qualifications. You'll bring your industry experience into the classroom and workshop, and support learners through to successful completion.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions in Electrical Installation.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Keeping accurate records of attendance, achievement and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- Industry experience as a practising electrician
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Assessor qualification
- 18th Edition BS 7671
