Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East Midlands
Start date: September 2026
Are you a time-served electrician ready to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the East Midlands is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory, helping learners build the technical skills and confidence they need to progress into the industry.
You'll work alongside a team of industry professionals, supporting learners through their qualifications and assessments from first principles to full occupational competence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging teaching across practical skills and theory in Electrical Installation.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- Substantial industry experience as an electrician
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- 18th Edition BS 7671
Experienced electricians without teaching experience are welcome to apply.
