Electrical Installation Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: September 2026
Are you a time-served electrician ready to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for an Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver theory and practical workshop sessions to learners working towards their qualifications in the trade.
You'll bring your industry knowledge into the classroom and workshop, guiding learners through the technical skills and working practices they'll need on site. Good classroom management matters here — students respond well to clear structure and consistent guidance.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across Electrical Installation programmes.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
- Confident classroom management and the ability to give learners clear structure and guidance
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or training
