Electrical Engineering Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: 5 October 2026
Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the South East, delivering electrical engineering teaching to learners working towards vocational qualifications. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, your technical knowledge is what matters most.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions across theory and practical workshop settings, helping learners build the skills, understanding and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging electrical engineering sessions in classroom and workshop settings.
- Assessing learner work and providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Preparing learners for the requirements of their awarding body qualifications.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline
- Relevant industrial experience within the electrical engineering sector
- A genuine interest in developing others and sharing your technical knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching, assessing or training learners
- Knowledge of vocational engineering qualifications
