Electrical Engineering Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East of England
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced electrical engineering professional looking to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join the engineering team at an education provider, delivering high-quality teaching to learners working towards electrical engineering qualifications. Whether you're already teaching or currently working in industry, we'd like to hear from you.
You'll help students build the technical knowledge, understanding and professional behaviours they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study within the engineering sector.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across a range of electrical engineering subjects.
- Supporting practical workshop activities alongside classroom delivery.
- Assessing learners' work in line with awarding body requirements and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and putting timely support in place where it's needed.
- Creating a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment.
- Working with colleagues to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in electrical or electronic engineering, or a related discipline
- Relevant industrial experience within the electrical engineering sector
- A genuine interest in developing others and sharing your technical knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching, assessing or training learners
- Knowledge of vocational engineering qualifications
