Early Years Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Are you an experienced early years professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for an Early Years Lecturer to join a further education provider in the West Midlands. You'll deliver engaging teaching across early years programmes, drawing on your own practice to bring the subject to life for learners preparing for careers in education and care.
You'll plan and prepare your sessions, assess learners' work and support them through their studies, helping them build the knowledge, skills and confidence they'll need to progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging teaching across early years programmes.
- Planning and developing lesson plans, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assessing learners' work and providing constructive feedback.
- Monitoring learner progress and supporting achievement.
- Providing academic and pastoral guidance to learners.
- Contributing to curriculum development and maintaining accurate course records.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in early years or a related field
- Recent, relevant occupational experience in early years education and care
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A commitment to supporting learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching or assessing within a further education or training provider setting
