Early Years Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: 16 October 2026
Are you an Early Years specialist who enjoys preparing learners for careers working with young children?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider to plan, deliver and assess Early Years, supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progress into further study, apprenticeships or employment.
You'll teach learners at a range of levels, drawing on your own sector knowledge to connect classroom learning with practice in real settings.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging Early Years lessons to learners across the programme.
- Assessing learner work in line with awarding body requirements.
- Developing learning resources tailored to the needs of your learners.
- Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate records.
- Contributing to internal quality procedures and programme reviews.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong subject knowledge in Early Years
- Confidence teaching learners at different levels
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching in a further education setting
