Early Years Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced early years professional ready to inspire the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
Working with a further education provider in the South East, you'll deliver engaging, high-quality teaching across early years programmes, helping learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence they need for careers in education and care.
You'll plan and deliver sessions that bring theory and practice together, assess and track progress, and support learners through their qualifications and on to employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering lessons across early years qualifications.
- Assessing and monitoring learner progress, and providing constructive feedback.
- Preparing learners for assessments, qualifications and progression into employment.
- Creating a positive, inclusive classroom where learners feel supported to succeed.
- Working with colleagues across the team to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Relevant qualification in early years or a related subject
- Recent, practical experience in early years education and care
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching or assessing in a further education or training provider setting
