Director of Learning / Programme Manager – Creative Industries
Temporary
Location: the South East
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced further education Creative Industries leader looking for your next leadership opportunity?
About the Role
You'll provide operational and curriculum leadership across the Creative Industries provision at a further education provider, combining Director-level responsibilities with curriculum management duties.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll lead the day-to-day running of the area while keeping a clear focus on curriculum quality, performance and learner outcomes, working alongside senior leaders and curriculum teams on shared priorities and improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing Creative Industries curriculum provision.
- Providing operational leadership across the area.
- Managing curriculum performance, quality and improvement.
- Supporting and developing teaching and curriculum teams.
- Monitoring learner outcomes, achievement and performance.
- Ensuring effective curriculum planning and delivery.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong further education leadership or curriculum management experience
- A background within Creative Industries, such as creative media, digital media, performing arts, art and design, music or a related area
- Experience managing curriculum teams and programmes
- A strong understanding of further education quality assurance and improvement
- Experience working in an operational curriculum leadership capacity
- The ability to step into a leadership position quickly and make an immediate impact
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience as a Curriculum Manager, Head of Curriculum, Head of Learning or Director of Learning in a similar setting
