About the Role

A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Design, Surveying and Planning Lecturer to deliver teaching, learning and assessment across design, surveying and planning programmes.

You'll plan and deliver sessions that combine underpinning theory with applied, work-related learning, bringing current industry practice into everything you teach. You'll work with learners of varying ability, adapting your delivery so everyone can progress, and you'll track that progress carefully so no one falls behind.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging sessions across design, surveying and planning programmes.
• Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources.
• Assessing learners' work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
• Maintaining accurate learner records in line with awarding body requirements.
• Monitoring attendance, engagement and achievement, and stepping in early where a learner needs support.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A relevant qualification at Level 3 or above in design, surveying or planning
• Strong occupational background in the built environment
• Ability to motivate and support learners of varying ability

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
