Curriculum Manager – Counselling

Location: Central London
Contract: Full Time – Temporary
Sector: Further Education

We are recruiting for an experienced Curriculum Manager – Counselling to join a Further Education college in Central London on a full-time temporary basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced curriculum leader to take responsibility for the leadership, management and development of Counselling provision, driving high-quality teaching, learner achievement and curriculum growth.

The Role

  • Lead and manage Counselling curriculum delivery across the college
  • Drive improvements in recruitment, retention, achievement and learner experience
  • Lead and develop teaching teams, supporting high-quality teaching and learning
  • Oversee quality assurance, lesson observations, self-assessment and improvement planning
  • Manage curriculum performance, learner progress and achievement targets
  • Develop and improve the Counselling and Mental Health curriculum offer
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Contribute to curriculum planning, strategic development and resource management
  • Teach approximately 10–15 hours per week, depending on service requirements

About You

  • Experienced Curriculum Manager, Head of Curriculum, Programme Manager or similar
  • Strong background in Counselling and/or Mental Health
  • Experience leading and developing teaching teams within FE
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance and curriculum improvement
  • Proven experience improving learner recruitment, retention and achievement
  • Full teaching qualification is essential due to the teaching commitment
  • Relevant degree/professional qualification in Counselling, Mental Health or a related subject
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills
