Criminology/Sociology Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the Wales
Start date: 2 October 2026
About the Role
An education provider is looking for a Criminology/Sociology Lecturer to join their teaching team. You'll deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that support learners to achieve and progress.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering lessons across Criminology and Sociology.
- Assessing learners' work and tracking progress towards their target grades.
- Supporting curriculum development and the preparation of learning materials.
- Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records.
- Providing tutorial support and guidance to learners.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or relevant professional qualification in Criminology, Sociology or a closely related subject
- Experience of teaching or delivering in a further education or sixth form setting
- Confidence in planning, delivering and assessing to awarding body standards
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Certificate in Education or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training
- Experience of internal verification or moderation
- Experience acting as a personal tutor
