Are you an experienced construction professional looking to support the next generation of tradespeople?

About the Role

Our client, a further education provider, is looking for a Construction Technician to support the smooth running of their practical teaching areas. You'll work alongside the teaching team to make sure workshop sessions are well prepared, well resourced and safe.

You'll prepare equipment and materials, maintain machinery and support learners during practical sessions, helping them build the hands-on skills they need to progress.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, setting up and dismantling tools, equipment and materials for practical sessions and demonstrations.
• Maintaining, servicing and repairing workshop machinery and equipment to a high standard.
• Assisting lecturing staff during practical workshops and assessments.
• Maintaining health and safety standards across all training areas.
• Managing workshop stock and ensuring resources are ready when needed.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Relevant qualifications in a recognised construction trade
• Practical skills and sound knowledge of construction tools, equipment and materials
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
• The ability to work independently and to deadlines

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in a further education or training environment
