Construction Programme Lead
Temporary
Location: the North West
Are you an experienced construction professional ready to lead a programme and shape the next generation of the trade?
About the Role
A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Construction Programme Lead to take responsibility for the delivery and quality of construction provision alongside your own teaching.
You'll deliver practical and theory sessions to learners working towards a career in construction, using your industry experience to keep the curriculum current. You'll also lead the course team, oversee the quality of teaching and assessment, and track learner progress to make sure standards stay high.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the planning, delivery and development of construction programmes.
- Delivering practical and theory-based sessions to learners across a range of levels.
- Supporting and developing the course team to maintain high standards of teaching, learning and assessment.
- Monitoring learner retention, progress and achievement, and acting on what the data shows.
- Assessing learner work and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Preparing learners for progression into employment or further study.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong industry experience within construction
- A relevant construction qualification
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to lead, motivate and support a team
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous teaching, mentoring or training experience
- Experience of curriculum leadership in further education
