Computing & Games Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South West
Start date: 15 September 2026
Are you a computing or games professional ready to pass your technical skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
We're recruiting a Computing & Games Lecturer to join a further education provider in the South West. You'll teach and support learners working towards computing and games qualifications, bringing your technical knowledge into the classroom and helping students build the skills and confidence they need to progress into further study or employment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging lessons across computing and games programmes.
- Assessing learners' work and giving clear, constructive feedback against assessment criteria.
- Monitoring progress and putting support in place where learners need it.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress.
- Creating an inclusive learning environment in which every learner is challenged and supported.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant qualification in computing, games or a closely related discipline
- Technical knowledge gained through study or industry experience
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or supporting learners in a further education setting
