About the Role

You'll join a further education provider as part of the cleaning team, helping to keep the learning environment clean, safe and welcoming for learners, staff and visitors.

Working to an agreed schedule, you'll carry out general cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas, taking pride in the standard of the spaces you look after.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning classrooms, offices, washrooms and communal areas to the required standard.
• Emptying bins and removing waste to the designated collection points.
• Replenishing consumables such as hand soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
• Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with health and safety guidance.
• Reporting maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the appropriate member of staff.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A reliable, punctual approach and the ability to work to a schedule
• Attention to detail and pride in a high standard of work
• The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• A sound awareness of health and safety in the workplace

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, college or similar setting
• Experience of using industrial cleaning equipment
• A COSHH or health and safety qualification
