About the Role
An education provider is looking to appoint a Cleaner to help keep its premises clean, safe and welcoming for learners, staff and visitors, with a start date of October 2026.
You'll work as part of a cleaning team, following an agreed schedule of tasks across classrooms, offices, corridors and communal areas, and using cleaning equipment and materials safely and correctly.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas to the required standard.
- Emptying bins and disposing of waste in line with procedures.
- Using cleaning equipment, products and materials safely and in line with health and safety guidance.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the appropriate colleague.
- Keeping cleaning stores and equipment tidy, secure and well maintained.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A reliable, conscientious approach and good attention to detail
- Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
- Willingness to follow health and safety procedures, including the safe use of cleaning products
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, college or similar setting
- Awareness of COSHH and safe working practices
