Cleaner - 32 hrs (DVC)
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Start date: August 2026
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as a Cleaner, helping to keep learning spaces clean, safe and welcoming for learners, staff and visitors. Working as part of the wider site team, you'll take pride in the standard of the environment you look after.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning classrooms, offices, corridors, toilets and communal areas to the required standard.
- Emptying bins and removing waste to designated collection points.
- Replenishing consumables such as soap, paper towels and toilet rolls.
- Using cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with health and safety guidance.
- Reporting maintenance issues, damage or hazards to the appropriate person.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A reliable, flexible approach and good timekeeping
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A practical understanding of health and safety when using cleaning products and equipment
- A professional manner when working around learners, staff and visitors
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous cleaning experience, ideally within a school, college or similar setting
- A COSHH or health and safety awareness qualification
