About the Role

An education provider is looking for a Classroom Assistant to support learners in the classroom and help them get the most from their studies.

You'll work alongside teaching staff, providing practical and pastoral support to individuals and small groups so that every learner can access the curriculum and build confidence in their own abilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups during lessons.
• Helping learners access learning materials and take part fully in classroom activities.
• Working with teaching staff to prepare resources and adapt tasks to individual needs.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement and independent learning.
• Maintaining accurate records of learner support and progress.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Experience supporting children or young people in an education, care or community setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A patient, adaptable and proactive approach
• A genuine commitment to helping learners progress

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience supporting learners with additional needs
• A relevant qualification in education or support work, or a willingness to work towards one
