Childcare Lecturer
Temporary
Location: London

Are you an experienced childcare or early years professional looking to inspire the next generation of practitioners?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in London, delivering childcare programmes to learners preparing for careers in early years and education.
You'll plan and deliver engaging sessions that combine theory with your own vocational knowledge, supporting learners to build the skills, confidence and understanding they need to progress into employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering childcare lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
- Assessing learner progress and providing constructive, timely feedback.
- Creating a safe, inclusive learning environment where learners are stretched and challenged.
- Promoting positive behaviour and supporting learners to overcome individual barriers to learning.
- Keeping your vocational knowledge current and reflecting sector practice in your teaching.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 qualification in childcare or early years
- Industry experience within childcare, early years or education
- Ability to motivate and raise the aspirations of learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting
