Are you an experienced childcare or early years professional ready to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?

About the role

You'll join the childcare team at a further education provider, delivering engaging lessons across a range of childcare and early years programmes and supporting learners to build the practical knowledge and professional skills they need for employment or further study.

You'll plan and deliver sessions, assess learner work and track progress, giving the feedback and encouragement that keeps learners moving forward. You'll also work alongside colleagues to keep the curriculum current and relevant to the sector.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging lessons across a range of childcare and early years programmes.
• Planning schemes of work, resources and assessments that support achievement and progression.
• Assessing learner work, giving timely feedback and monitoring progress.
• Supporting learners academically and pastorally throughout their studies.
• Maintaining accurate records of attendance, achievement and outcomes.
• Contributing to curriculum development and quality improvement activities.

What we're looking for

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification or above in childcare, early years or a related subject
• Occupational experience within childcare, early years or education
• The ability to motivate and support learners of mixed abilities

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in a further education setting
