Chef Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber

About the Role
We're supporting an education provider to appoint a Chef Lecturer. You'll deliver practical kitchen and theory sessions across their professional cookery provision, helping learners build the culinary skills and occupational standards the industry expects.
You'll bring your own experience of working in professional kitchens into your teaching, supporting learners through their qualifications and on towards employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality teaching across practical and theory sessions in professional cookery.
- Assessing learner work, giving constructive feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
- Supporting learner retention, achievement and progression.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Keeping your own culinary knowledge and industry practice up to date.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in professional cookery or a related discipline
- Occupational experience working as a chef
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessing qualification
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or training
