Are you an experienced carpenter or joiner looking to step off the tools and pass your skills on to the next generation of tradespeople?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider to deliver Carpentry and Joinery programmes, teaching both practical workshop sessions and classroom theory to learners working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

You'll work alongside an established team, helping learners build the hand skills, site knowledge and confidence they need to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Carpentry and Joinery programmes from Entry Level to Level 3.
• Delivering engaging classroom lessons and practical workshop sessions.
• Developing learning resources and assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining high standards of workshop safety and health and safety compliance.
• Supporting curriculum development and quality improvement.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• A Level 3 qualification (or higher) in Carpentry and Joinery or a related construction discipline
• Significant industry experience within carpentry and joinery
• Level 2 (or equivalent) in English and maths
• A genuine drive to develop the next generation of skilled tradespeople

Desirable (but not essential):

• A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE, Cert Ed or Level 5 Diploma
• Assessor qualifications
