Business Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the North West
Are you a business specialist looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering business to learners working towards their qualifications. You'll plan and adapt your teaching so that learners of mixed abilities have a clear route to achievement.
This is an opportunity to bring your subject knowledge and industry insight into the classroom, supporting learners to develop the skills they need for employment or further study.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging and accessible business lessons to learners of mixed abilities.
- Planning and preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessments.
- Tracking learner progress, marking work and providing timely feedback.
- Supporting learners to develop their employability prospects.
- Working collaboratively with curriculum colleagues.
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and a positive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or above in business or a related subject
- Subject knowledge and occupational competence in business
- A genuine interest in supporting learners to achieve
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
