Business Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 6 October 2026
Are you a business professional or experienced lecturer ready to share your expertise with the next generation?
About the Role
As a Business Lecturer, you'll join a further education provider to deliver teaching across their Business programmes, picking up a timetabled allocation and making sure learners have consistent, high-quality teaching from day one.
You'll plan and deliver sessions that keep learners engaged, assess their work fairly and support them to progress and achieve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across Business courses.
- Planning and preparing lessons, schemes of work and learning resources.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress against awarding body requirements.
- Supporting learners to develop their skills, confidence and employability.
- Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Subject knowledge and occupational competence in Business
- Experience of teaching or training learners
- A Level 3 qualification or higher in your subject area
- A genuine passion for passing on your knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Experience of delivering vocational programmes in a further education setting
