Business Lecturer Maternity Cover
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: 30 September 2026
Are you an experienced business professional or lecturer looking to share your expertise with the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West as a Business Lecturer, delivering teaching across business courses to learners working towards vocational qualifications.
You'll bring your subject knowledge into the classroom, teaching to current industry standards and supporting each learner to build the skills, confidence and employability that employers expect.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging, high-quality teaching across business courses.
- Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Supporting learners in developing their skills and employability prospects.
- Working collaboratively with the team to create a supportive learning environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in business or a closely related subject
- Occupational competence and relevant industry experience
- A genuine interest in teaching and passing on your knowledge
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification
- Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
