Business Development Manager
Temporary
Location: the provider
Start date: 21 September 2026
Are you an experienced business development professional who enjoys working with employers to shape the training their teams need?
About the Role
You'll work on behalf of an education provider, building relationships with employers and promoting apprenticeships and staff training. You'll win new business and encourage existing customers to make greater use of the services on offer.
You'll spend your time out in front of employers, understanding their staffing and skills needs and matching them to the right training.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Contacting new employers to discuss apprenticeships and training.
- Keeping in touch with existing customers and offering further support.
- Helping employers set up apprenticeship accounts and complete the associated paperwork.
- Finding employers offering work placements and passing details to the placement team.
- Attending networking events and explaining the services available.
- Keeping customer records up to date and working with internal teams to resolve queries.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience in a similar customer-facing role
- An understanding of business needs, apprenticeships and staff training
- Experience in at least two of: business planning, marketing, sales, or customer databases and networking
- Good communication, organisation and Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK
