Brickwork Technician

Temporary

Location: London

Rate: £40 per hour

Start date: 12 October 2026

Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

You'll join a further education provider in London, supporting the delivery of brickwork training in busy practical workshops. Working alongside the teaching team, you'll make sure sessions run safely, smoothly and with the right materials and equipment in place.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing and setting up tools, equipment and materials for practical sessions and demonstrations.
  • Supporting lecturers and learners during practical workshop activities.
  • Maintaining and repairing workshop tools, equipment and training areas.
  • Managing stock of bricks, blocks, mortar materials and consumables.
  • Upholding health and safety standards across all brickwork training areas.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • Trade background in bricklaying or wet trades
  • Practical knowledge of bricklaying tools, equipment and materials
  • Strong understanding of workshop health and safety
  • Good communication skills and a willingness to support learners

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Level 2 English and maths (or equivalent)
  • Previous experience in a further education or training environment
