Brick Tutor
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced bricklayer looking to pass your trade on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering brickwork training to learners working towards their qualifications. You'll teach both in the workshop and the classroom, bringing your site experience into every session.
You'll help learners build practical skill and confidence, tracking their progress and supporting them to achieve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering practical brickwork sessions and supporting theory lessons.
- Preparing learning resources and assessing learners' work.
- Monitoring learner progress and giving clear, constructive feedback.
- Creating a safe, well-organised and positive workshop environment.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 2 (or higher) qualification in brickwork
- Substantial practical experience in the trade
- The ability to motivate and engage learners of mixed ability
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience delivering in a further education setting
