Are you a time-served bricklayer ready to pass your trade on to the next generation?

About the Role

A further education provider in the North West is looking for a Brick Lecturer to deliver practical workshop and classroom theory sessions to learners working towards their brickwork qualifications.

You'll bring your industry knowledge into the workshop, guiding learners through the techniques, standards and working practices employers expect on site. Good workshop management matters here — learners respond well to clear structure and consistent guidance.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering engaging practical and theory sessions across brickwork programmes.
• Planning, preparing and assessing learning activities to support learner progression and achievement.
• Marking work, giving feedback and carrying out progress reviews.
• Maintaining a safe workshop environment and high standards of health and safety.
• Maintaining accurate records for registers, attendance and awarding body requirements.
• Contributing to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Level 3 qualification (or higher) in brickwork
• Substantial hands-on industry experience in bricklaying
• Good communication and workshop management skills
• Sound understanding of current industry standards and safe working practices

Desirable (but not essential):

• A teaching qualification
• Previous experience of teaching or assessing in further education
