Brick and Multi-Skill Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South East
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced bricklayer or multi-trade professional ready to pass your skills on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the South East is looking for a Brick and Multi-Skill Lecturer to deliver teaching, learning and assessment across bricklaying and multi-skills programmes.
You'll work across both practical workshop and classroom settings, bringing current trade practice into your sessions and supporting learners to build the skills, confidence and qualifications they need to progress into employment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality practical and theoretical sessions across bricklaying and multi-skills programmes.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment materials.
- Assessing learners' work and providing clear, constructive feedback on progress.
- Providing academic and pastoral support to help learners achieve their goals.
- Maintaining accurate records of attendance, progress and achievement.
- Contributing to curriculum development and course administration.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Level 3 vocational qualification in bricklaying or a related construction trade
- Hands-on industry experience within the construction sector
- Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate learners from a range of backgrounds
Desirable (but not essential):
- A recognised teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of teaching or mentoring learners, apprentices or trainees
