Assessor
Temporary | Contract
Location: the East of England
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced industry professional with your ACS qualifications, looking to assess and support the next generation of operatives?
About the Role
A further education provider in the East of England is looking for an Assessor to join them on a contract basis. You'll carry out assessments against ACS requirements, making fair and consistent judgements and recording them accurately.
You'll work closely with candidates throughout their assessment, giving clear feedback and practical guidance so they understand what they need to do to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and carrying out ACS assessments with individual candidates.
- Making consistent, evidence-based assessment decisions in line with scheme requirements.
- Providing constructive feedback and supporting candidates towards successful completion.
- Maintaining accurate assessment records and supporting internal quality assurance.
Essential Qualification
- Current, relevant ACS qualifications
- A recognised assessor qualification (such as TAQA or A1)
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong, up-to-date technical knowledge from industry
- Communicates clearly and works well with learners of varying experience
- Is organised, reliable and thorough with assessment paperwork
