Apprenticeship Skills Tutor - Electrical
Temporary
Start date: September 2026
Are you an experienced electrician looking to pass your trade expertise on to the next generation of apprentices?
About the Role
You'll join a training provider as an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor in Electrical, bringing your industry knowledge into the classroom and the workshop and sharing it with apprentices at every stage of their programme.
You'll plan, deliver and assess both theory and practical learning, supporting apprentices to build the technical skills and confidence they need to succeed. Acting as a positive role model, you'll contribute to the provider's offer in this key curriculum area.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging theory and practical sessions to electrical apprentices.
- Planning and preparing workshop and classroom learning activities.
- Assessing apprentices' knowledge and practical skills.
- Reviewing and tracking learner progress towards achievement.
- Maintaining accurate course and learner records.
- Supporting apprentices to achieve and progress.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in electrical installation
- Industry experience in the electrical trade
- Strong practical and technical skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Experience of delivering apprenticeship programmes
