Administrator - Customer Service
Temporary | Contract
Location: the South West
Start date: August 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the South West, working as part of a busy administration and customer service team. You'll be the first point of contact for learners, staff and visitors, handling enquiries and making sure they reach the right person or are resolved on the spot.
Alongside front-line enquiries, you'll keep records, systems and documentation accurate and up to date, supporting the smooth running of the provider's day-to-day administrative processes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to enquiries from learners, staff and members of the public by phone, email and in person.
- Maintaining accurate records and updating internal systems and spreadsheets.
- Processing documentation and supporting routine administrative functions.
- Producing correspondence and supporting information for learners and staff.
- Working with colleagues across teams to resolve queries and meet deadlines.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong administration skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, written and verbal
- Good organisation, planning and time management skills
- Confident with IT systems, databases and Microsoft Office
- Able to work to deadlines and manage competing priorities
Desirable (but not essential):
- Previous experience in a further education or wider education setting
- An enhanced DBS on the update service
