Accounting Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Start date: October 2026
Are you an experienced accounting professional ready to pass your expertise on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering theory and practical teaching across accounting programmes. You'll support learners to build the technical knowledge, accuracy and professional standards the finance sector expects.
If you're coming straight from industry, that's welcomed. Teaching experience isn't essential, and you'll be supported to work towards a recognised teaching qualification.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering engaging classroom sessions across accounting programmes.
- Planning lessons, assessing learner work and giving constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners to track their progress and achieve their qualifications.
- Motivating learners to progress into employment or further study.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 qualification in accounting (or equivalent)
- Industry experience in accounting or finance
- A commitment to supporting and motivating learners
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of teaching, assessing or mentoring
