A-Level PE Teacher
Temporary
Location: the North West
Start date: November 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West to teach A-Level Physical Education to Level 3 students, delivering well planned, well resourced lessons that stretch learners towards strong examination outcomes.
You'll work as part of an established teaching team, taking responsibility for the progress of your groups and supporting students through to their final assessments.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering A-Level Physical Education lessons across the programme of study.
- Preparing and evaluating learning materials and assessment resources.
- Marking, giving feedback and tracking the progress of your students.
- Acting as a point of support for learners and contributing to their wider progression.
- Maintaining accurate academic and administrative records.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A degree or relevant professional qualification in Physical Education or a closely related subject
- Experience of teaching or delivering Level 3 / A-Level programmes
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to prepare learners for examination
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
Desirable (but not essential):
- A PGCE, QTS, QTLS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience within a further education or sixth form setting
- A track record of strong learner achievement and progression
