Uniformed public services Lecturer
Temporary | Contract
Location: the North West
Pay: £37.50 per hour
Start date: 13 October 2026
Are you an experienced uniformed services professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in the North West, delivering uniformed public services training to learners working towards their qualifications. Across theory sessions and practical work, you'll bring your sector experience into the teaching environment and help learners build the knowledge, skills and confidence employers are looking for.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging theory and practical uniformed public services sessions.
- Adapting your teaching to meet the individual needs of learners.
- Assessing learner work and tracking progress towards qualification completion.
- Producing learning resources to support the programme.
- Keeping accurate records and completing associated administrative tasks.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A Level 3 (or higher) qualification in uniformed public services or a related discipline
- Experience in the uniformed services you can draw on in your teaching
- The ability to motivate and support learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- Previous experience of delivering training in a further education setting
