Travel and Tourism Lecturer
Temporary
Location: the East Midlands
Are you an experienced travel and tourism professional looking to pass your knowledge on to the next generation?
About the Role
A further education provider in the East Midlands is looking for a Travel and Tourism Lecturer to join their team. You'll deliver classroom sessions across Travel and Tourism programmes, bringing your sector experience into the learning environment so that students understand how the industry works in practice.
You'll support learners through their programmes, tracking their progress and preparing them for progression into employment or further study.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging sessions across Travel and Tourism programmes.
- Plan, prepare and assess learning activities, including marking, feedback and progress reviews.
- Maintain accurate records for attendance, achievement and awarding body requirements.
- Contribute to curriculum development so that content reflects current industry standards.
- Support learners in developing their skills and employability.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Occupational experience within the travel and tourism sector
- A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
- Confidence planning, delivering and assessing learning
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards one
- An assessor qualification
- Previous experience of teaching in further education
