Student Success Support
Temporary | Contract
Location: the West Midlands
Start date: 15 October 2026
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in a learner-facing support role, helping students stay engaged, overcome barriers and progress through their programmes.
Working alongside teaching staff, you'll provide practical, day-to-day support that keeps learners on track and builds their confidence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learners on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Helping students to engage with their programme and make progress towards their goals.
- Working closely with teaching staff to put support strategies in place.
- Maintaining accurate records of learner support and progress.
- Supporting learner wellbeing and engagement throughout their studies.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience of delivering English, maths and Functional Skills
- Experience of supporting young people or adults in an education setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An Enhanced DBS issued within the last 12 months
- Two references from your most recent employers
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience of supporting learners with additional needs
- A relevant qualification in education or learner support
