Sport Lecturer
Temporary
Are you an experienced sport professional looking to inspire the next generation?
About the Role
As a Sport Lecturer, you'll plan and deliver engaging sport sessions for a training provider, helping learners build the practical skills, subject knowledge and confidence they need to progress. You'll adapt your teaching to suit a range of abilities and learning styles, delivering both theory and practical sessions.
Alongside delivery, you'll assess work, give constructive feedback and track progress towards qualifications.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated sport lessons.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessment activities.
- Delivering both theory and practical sessions safely and effectively.
- Assessing, reviewing and tracking learner progress and achievement.
- Preparing learners for assessment in line with awarding body requirements.
- Maintaining accurate course and learner records.
- Supporting learners to progress into further education, employment or training.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- A relevant sport qualification or industry background
- Strong subject knowledge across theory and practical delivery
- Ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching or assessing qualification
- Previous experience of teaching in a further education or training setting
