Safeguarding Consultant
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
Salary: £550 per day
Start date: October 2026
About the Role
You'll join an education provider as a Safeguarding Consultant, providing expert guidance on safeguarding practice across the organisation and making sure learners are protected, supported and listened to.
You'll work alongside senior leaders and staff teams, reviewing how concerns are handled, strengthening the safeguarding culture and advising on the practical changes that make the biggest difference to learners.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising senior leaders on safeguarding practice, policy and process.
- Reviewing how safeguarding concerns, referrals and records are managed.
- Supporting staff with guidance, training and day-to-day safeguarding queries.
- Working with external agencies where concerns require a multi-agency response.
- Reporting on safeguarding activity, risks and recommended actions.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Strong safeguarding experience in an education or similar setting
- Confident handling concerns, referrals, records and risk assessments
- Experience working with external agencies and senior leaders
- Excellent communication, organisation and report writing
- Available to start in October 2026
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience advising on safeguarding at an organisational level
- Knowledge of Prevent and wider welfare frameworks
