PSHE Tutor
Temporary
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber
About the Role
You'll join a further education provider in Yorkshire and the Humber, delivering PSHE to learners as part of their wider study programme. You'll cover the personal, social, health and economic topics that help young people make informed choices and prepare for adult life, work and further study.
You'll teach groups of mixed ability and background, creating sessions where learners feel able to discuss sensitive subjects openly and respectfully.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging PSHE sessions to groups of mixed ability.
- Preparing schemes of work, lesson resources and assessment materials.
- Creating a safe, inclusive environment for discussion of sensitive topics.
- Tracking learner progress and providing timely, constructive feedback.
- Supporting learners to build confidence, resilience and independence.
- Working alongside curriculum and pastoral colleagues to support learner wellbeing.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Experience delivering PSHE or a closely related curriculum area
- The ability to engage and motivate learners of differing abilities
- Confidence handling sensitive subject matter with care and professionalism
Desirable (but not essential):
- A teaching qualification
- Experience of teaching within further education
